I’m Alice, a twenty-something wife (3-ish years) and mother to a 1-year-old. I’m Canadian-born, American-raised, and now Australian. I’m a family-loving, tv-watching, social work student , and of course I’m an Army Wife.

J joined the Army in 2011; we spent 6 months apart for training, then got posted Darwin.

I started this blog because I was desperate for information when J first joined, and could’t find any. This life is a huge adjustment, and I wanted to share what I’ve learnt along the way. Having said that, I’m still a super amateur, and every single person will have a different experience and way of dealing with things. This blog isn’t a how-to manual, it’s simply a sort of journal about my experience being an Australian Army Wife.

I would love to hear from you if you have experiences to share, or questions to ask (bearing in mind that I probably won’t have an actual answer for you haha) – so post a comment, or you can email me at armywifelessons@outlook.com
